Back in April 23 of this year, Deadmau5 tweeted to his fans that he had put together six songs for a new album he had been working on.

A fan asked him a question in response to the news wanting to know how many tracks he wanted on the album and Joel told him he wasn’t sure. He thought of possibly having nine to twelve tracks on it. A month later, he released a song called Snowcone on May 27th, which he uploaded to Spotify (after the whole Soundcloud chaos).

The song is quite chill at 98 BPM if you get me. Check it out.

Someone recently event asked Joel if his album was done and he replied with some exciting news in one of the most casual ways possible.

Yep, deadmau5’ album is mostly finished! Since the announcement, Joel has released another song titled ‘Desynchronized ‘as well as two remixes: Energy 52’s ‘Café Del Mar’ & ‘It’s Our Future’ by Young Rebels & Francesco Diaz.

Deadmau5 – Desynchronized

Energy 52 – Café Del Mar (Deadmau5 Remix)

Young Rebels, Francesco Diaz – It’s Our Future (Deadmau5 Remix)

Now… How much do you think Deadmau5 getting paid nowadays? Well two years back, he got paid around $200-$250 grand for each show according to Your EDM.

Someone tweeted to Zimmerman recently asking how much he gets paid “to press play” on his iPod Shuffle. If what he responded is indeed true, Joel is getting paid somewhere in the range of about $400,000 to $1,000,000 per gig. Ultra must be paying Deadmau5 a good chunk of cash if he agreed to do a worldwide tour with them, especially after trolling Martin Garrix with his Old Macdonald version of Animals and getting picked in an argument with Tiësto all over playing Avicii’s Levels.

Deadmau5, Martin Garrix, and Tiësto will both be performing at Ultra Japan on September 17. Oh, and did you hear about how annoyed Deadmau5 has been with Marshmello? Well apparently Marshmello followed Joel around in Ultra Miami pestering him apparently, which annoyed him, so he flipped him off. Hope he doesn’t do the same thing at Ultra Japan. I wonder how that will turn out?
