Following the successful International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza, IMS now bring their thought-leadership platform to Malta. IMS College – Malta, a uniquely curated educational initiative aimed at emerging electronic music professionals and future industry visionaries, has now revealed its final schedule for 2018, bringing together a powerful collection of leading electronic music experts and artists to educate the next generation with their experience and knowledge.

By day attendees will experience two full days of interactive workshops, inspiring keynotes and learning sessions covering four key pillars of music education: Performance, Production, Promotion, and Publishing. Partnering with leading music education institutes Point Blank Music School and Berklee College of Music, the two-days of learning are designed to help nurture and boost the careers of emerging electronic music industry professionals and creatives. By night attendees will experience specially curated parties and events showcasing the best in international electronic music talent.

Day one of the summer camp on Friday 14th September will see Point Blank Music School present two insightful sessions: a production masterclass with Maltese artist Tenishia and a track deconstruction masterclass in Ableton Live. Also on day one, Mixmag’s Future Of Dance Music brings together innovators from across the spectrum of the genre to share their thoughts on where the industry is heading and how they plan to change the game. Local and International labels will bring their experiences and advice to Beatport’s How To Set Up And Run an Independent Record Label, featuring representatives from Toolroom and Malta’s leading label Alleanza.

Saturday 15th September presents day two of IMS College – Malta, opening with elrow – How To Build A Global Brand which will lift the lid on the inner workings of the past, present, and future of the legendary party phenomenon and family-run business. At a time when conversations around mental health in the dance music community are gathering momentum, Staying Sane In The Game will spotlight the challenges music industry professionals may face and will give valuable advice on where to get help and support. Tools Of The Trade will delve into the key platforms and techniques you need to be aware of to grow your presence in the music industry from social media to music promotion platforms. Berklee College of Music will provide attendees with tailored career advice in one-on-one Career Coaching Clinic sessions, offering bespoke, practical advice on how to achieve their career goals. The day will close with a keynote interview and Q&A with Grammy award winning DJ and Producer Ali Shirazina aka Dubfire, giving an insider’s view at what it’s like to be an internationally successful electronic music artist.

Each day of IMS College – Malta is paired with official evening parties with world-class DJ talent with some of the genres biggest names including Dubfire, Camelphat, Mambo Brothers and Tenishia plus the Maltese debut of global party brand elrow.
