GLITTERBOX ANNOUNCES BANK HOLIDAY DAY & NIGHT PARTY AT MINISTRY OF SOUND

Glitterbox has announced a special day & night party at Ministry of Sound on August Bank Holiday (with an outdoor daytime BBQ in Ministry’s courtyard space).

Opening at 4pm on 28th August, the party features Dimitri From Paris, Joey Negro, Simon Dunmore, Severino, Purple Disco Machine, Eli Escobar, Dr Packer, Get Down Edits, and For The Love Of House, plus performances from dance crew, Hot Heels.

Glitterbox’s event at Ministry of Sound in May, was a defining moment in the party’s history and their 17-week 2016 season at Space, Ibiza opened spectacularly on Friday 3 June.

At the start of July, Glitterbox holds its second UK club date of the year, in Bristol (details will be announced soon). On August’s second weekend, Glitterbox will then travel to Croatia for the first time, curating a night at the inaugural, 5 day long Defected Croatia Festival in Tisno, Dalmatia.

Tickets are available here.

BACKGROUND TO GLITTERBOX

At its heart, Glitterbox embodies the idea that the dancefloor should be the focus of a truly transformative night: something of a rarity in the DJ-idolising culture of the modern club. Its parties turn club and festival spaces into glittering, hedonistic playgrounds, with extravagant live shows and the world’s finest DJs – the true masters of their craft.

In 2015, Glitterbox relocated from Booom to Space and enjoyed a revelatory sophomore year. The opening party reviews were exemplary. Glitterbox’s unique fusion of classic and contemporary dance music, backed by imaginative theming across everything from the glamorous artwork to the Savage dance crews Nutbags, Hot Heels and Sink The Pink has fitted Space perfectly, and the Glitterbox crowds happily swelled whilst the Friday night soundtrack continued to impress.

Glitterbox first moved off island last summer at London’s Ministry of Sound, with a second event held in December 2015.
