In addition to consistently being People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, English Actor and Producer Idris Elba also has other talents he has been honing since his teen years.

The multi-talented 46-year old has a vast array of talents ranging from actor to producer and director to musician, DJ, and rapper!

In preparation for his set, Elba took to his social media with a topless selfie to bring on his “Game face.”

Elba, who began DJing in 1986 as part of his uncle’s wedding DJ business, then went on to perform at Glastonbury and Creamfields in the UK as reported by Billboard. Since then, the musician and occasional rapper has released his own single and EPs, as well as collaborated with a number of other artists. He was also behind the decks at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding reception in May.

He has often performed under the moniker DJ Big Driis, but for his debut Coachella performance, he chose to perform under his own name, as Idris Elba.

Last night, the 46-year-old British heartthrob took to the Yuma tent stage at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, with a DJ set that impressed most. Coming on at around 9 PM in front of what appeared to be a packed house of spectators, his set seemed to silence the skeptics.

Coachella Curated also had dedicated a teaser to celebrate having Elba perform at the festival!

Elba performed last night in a stylish printed shirt and bandana and will play again during the second weekend of the festival on April 20.

Elba’s performance debut at the star-studded music festival comes after he played a DJ turned nanny in his new Netflix series, Turn Up Charlie.
