Belgian superstar Jean-Claude Van Damme is back in action movie – Lukas, originally for its release in France. JCVD, playing Lukas, is a nightclub bouncer in his fifties who’s taken punches, literally and figuratively, and struggles to raise his 8-year-old daughter.

After he’s arrested, the only way for Lukas to get his daughter back is to work with Interpol to bring down a criminal organisation and its kingpin operating from Belgium. Alongside JCVD, ‘Lukas’ also stars Sveva Alviti, Sami Bouajila, Sam Louwyck, Kaaris, Kevin Janssens, Kaaris, Alice Verset and Dimitri ‘Vegas’ Thivaios.

Making an appearance alongside JCVD is the Belgian, multi-award winning DJ/producer Dimitri ‘Vegas’ Thivaios, better known as one half of the international DJ duo ‘Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’.

As a DJ, Dimitri Vegas has headlined many of the world’s biggest stages including EDC Las Vegas, EXIT festival, Electric Zoo NY and Creamfields, as well as being the official mainstage resident for 180,000 capacity Belgian festival, Tomorrowland. As a producer, him and brother Mike have worked with artists ranging from Diplo and David Guetta to Gucci Mane and Snoop Dogg, along with completing remix work for the likes of Coldplay, Lady Gaga and The Chainsmokers. Their current single ‘When I Grow Up’ is a collaboration with iconic rapper Wiz Khalifa.

Beyond his music career, Dimitri’s profile as an actor has begun to flourish. He recently appeared in the third feature film from Moroccan directors Adil El Arbi & Bilall Falah titled ‘Patser’ (meaning Gangsta), expanding on previous on-screen outings including ‘Safety First: The Movie’. With credits due in the upcoming George C. Romero’s ‘Rise Of The Living Dead’ – the follow up to cult-horror ‘Night Of The Living Dead’, it’s becoming apparent that Dimitri has a flair for the big screen as well as the main stage. No strangers to soundtracking feature-lengths either, famously remixing the original Hans Zimmer theme ‘He’s A Pirate’, alongside his brother Mike, which appeared as an official remix in the form of a bonus digital track on the recent ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge’ movie. The brothers also provided the soundtrack for ‘Patser’.
