Martin Garrix Cancels All Upcoming Shows Due To Ankle Injury!

EDM News

In an unfortunate scenario, dance music superstar Martin Garrix is forced to cancel all his shows over the next few weeks.

This decision came in after the DJ injured himself during a set at Las Vegas on 25th of May. Although he remained with the intent to perform, critical examination of the injury has revealed that all his ankle ligaments are torn and surgery is unavoidable to prevent further damage.

’’I’m devastated that I have to cancel these shows since nothing makes me happier than performing for you guys. I feel most alive when I’m on stage, seeing you guys smile. I was really looking forward to it and I never want to disappoint my fans. Unfortunately, this is out of my control and I will need surgery and enough rest to fully recover. If I won’t get surgery now I might permanently damage my ankle, which could mean I won’t be able to perform at all anymore. I want to thank everyone for their continuous support and I hope to be able to get back on stage to perform for you guys again real soon.’’

Not allowing myself to be ruled by social norms, my way of living is an expression of my joy rather than the pursuit of happiness. Venturing into volunteering activities full time, I take time to write about things dear to me - which includes dance music! My passion for dance music started at the age of 15 which propelled me to host parties and promote dance music events! Today, I love seeing how the genre has evolved and wish to befriend more people to the genre!
