Martin Garrix sues Spinnin’ Records & previous management

Martin Garrix is reportedly suing former management, MusicAllStars & Spinnin’ Records following their fallout earlier in September.

It was when Spinnin’ responded to the matter that probably pushed Garrix to the next step.
Garrix is reportedly taking both Spinnin’ Records and former manager Eelko van Kooten to court. According to the Dutch producer, van Kooten deceived him with “false and misleading information,” which led him to transferring the ownership rights of his music to Spinnin’. This is possible considering Martin was just 17 when his hit track ‘Animals’ was released on Spinnin’ Records. We wouldn’t expect him to be experienced enough to be able to make all the right decisions. The lawsuit defends this theory, citing that Van Kooten was only looking out for himself instead of his artist during contract negotiations with Spinnin’ Records.

It seems as though Martin’s gonna have to be patient, as history suggests these battles can generally last years.
