McDonald’s Snack Wrap Is Officially Coming Back in 2025 But There’s a Catch

McDonald’s Snack Wrap Is Finally Coming Back, But Fans Still Have One Big Question

Snack Wrap stans, this is not a drill. McDonald’s just confirmed what fans have been begging to hear since 2016: the Snack Wrap is officially making a comeback in 2025.

The news dropped in typical McDonald’s fashion, cryptic and a little chaotic. In a post on X, the brand teased: “0x.14.2025,” leaving fans scrambling to decode which month that “14th” is actually happening in. No confirmation yet, but guesses are already flying in. June seems like a strong contender, especially since McDonald’s cheekily responded to one user with, “I cannot confirm or deny.”

So what’s coming back, exactly? For the uninitiated: the OG Snack Wrap featured crispy or grilled chicken, shredded lettuce, cheese, and your choice of ranch or honey mustard, all tucked inside a warm tortilla. It launched in the U.S. in 2006 and quietly disappeared a decade later. What followed? Years of online petitions, Twitter meltdowns, and fans asking for it at the drive-thru like it never left.

Even McDonald’s U.S. president Joe Erlinger acknowledged the cult-like demand. Speaking to Good Morning America last December, he said, “I get so many emails into my inbox about this product. It will be back in 2025.” Still, he wouldn’t give an exact date, only that it’s returning “before the end of the year,” citing “competitive reasons.”

So why all the secrecy? McDonald’s has been testing new menu strategies, often launching limited-time regional items. It’s likely this return will follow a phased rollout, either starting in select cities or in international markets before hitting every U.S. location.

In the meantime, the fast-food giant is keeping fans hungry, literally and figuratively. The mystery is part of the marketing now, and judging by the online hype, it’s working.

Will it live up to the nostalgia? We’ll see. But one thing’s for sure: Snack Wrap summer might be back on the menu.
