Like most festivals, Detroits iconic Movement Festival is getting ready to make a much awaited comeback in 2022, after two consecutive cancelled editions in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
Announcing a wholesome lineup with a perfect mix of the veterans we have come to expect over the years at this stalworth festival and the burgeoning techno acts of today.
Set to be hosted as usual on Memorial Day weekend from May 28-30th, 2022, inside the Hart Plaza. The Lineup teaser they just dropped announced some powerhouse billings like Adam Beyer, Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler and a whole lot more.

One among many of the special milestones at this years edition. Jeff Mills, the Detroit native, will be celebrating 30 years for his label Axis Records.
Speaking about the special set, Mills’ told Billboard “Of all the places I’ve traveled to and audiences I’ve played music for, Detroit is still the city that remains the barometer of advanced creative knowledge and technique. It’s special because of what the long list of native Detroit musicians that have contributed to the world of music. It’s a place that is infamous for proposing new ways and ideas as well as a unique and common viewpoint on the future of music. The city taught me to never fear what lies beyond, but embrace it as a means to advance the music art form.”
