Movement Torino lineup

The location for all this and 15,000 party people is Lingotto, a vast building that’s like a conference centre-come-aircraft hangar. It’s divided into different arenas that range from huge to more intimate. Each one is transformed with stunning production; LED screens and lights all add extra dimensions to the music which booms from huge speaker stacks that are more than sufficient to saturate the space with sound.

The latest names are headed up by Berlin legend and BPitch Control label boss Ellen Allien, who has been an innovative and consistently driving force of the scene. She has put out countless LPs and EPs that always show real artistic progression, and in the DJ booth, she is just as essential.

Lone is next and is the R&S Records artist who runs his own Magicwire label. His melody-rich, rave and breakbeat indebted sound has taken him around the world, while his DJ-kicks mix was a very personal journey into his own sound world. He plays live and brings with him a unique take on dance music.

Last of all is Waajeed, the Detroit house and hip-hop talent who cooks up soulful sounds and expressive beats. Counting J DIlla among his peers, his releases on the likes of Planet E, Sound Signature, and Jazzy Sport cement him as a real house heavyweight.
