The vital Movement Torino is back with brand new dates for 2018 — this year taking place two weeks earlier on October 12th and 13th — and is once again set to be the most talked about techno festival in Europe.

Taking place in Torino, Italy, the sister festival to Movement Detroit will play host to Jon Hopkins (live), Nina Kraviz, The Martinez Brothers, and Joseph Capriati. They’ll join the likes of Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Derrick May, Levon Vincent, Solomun, Underground Resistance, DJ Bone, Cosmo (live), KiNK (live), Francesco Tristano (live) with more to be announced.

Once again the venue is Lingotto, a vast building that’s like a conference centre-come-aircraft hangar. It’s divided into different arenas that range from huge to more intimate. Each one is transformed with stunning production; LED screens and lights all add extra dimensions to the music which booms from huge speaker stacks that are more than sufficient to saturate the space with sound.

Over 15,000 people attend Movement each year and come from all over the UK, Spain, Germany and the rest of Europe. The festival boasts a cashless payment system, all with a focus on environmentalism and, of course, a world class line-up of the finest techno talents the scene has to offer.

This year that includes returning favourites like Transmat boss Derrick May, as well as real Detroit legends like the fierce DJ Bone, and Underground Resistance presents Depth Charge featuring Mark Flash and Mike Banks. New York talent Levon Vincent will also play, as will Diynamic boss and global house king Solomun, while breakthrough heroines Charlotte de Witte and Amelie Lens bring their big and bold sound, Ibiza favourite Ilario Alicante also lines up, and there will be special live sets from wizards like KiNK, Francesco Tristano and Cosmo.

Many more names are to come, but it’s time you got these dates in your diary because Movement Festival is an essential event in any techno lover’s calendar.
