NH7 Weekender is back with a bang for its 15th anniversary, bringing a fresh, star-studded lineup that’s sure to make this year’s event unforgettable.
This edition, co-presented by The House of McDowell’s Soda, will host over 30 phenomenal artists across genres, including Grammy-nominated Jorja Smith, Bollywood sensation Amit Trivedi, and legendary Indian pop queen Usha Uthup. With a unique 2-day format, the festival promises a weekend of genre-bending performances, transcending the boundaries of music.
The Festival Lineup: What to Expect
British R&B singer-songwriter Jorja Smith, who will be making her India debut, is set to headline the festival with her soulful voice and thought-provoking lyrics. Known for collaborations with icons like Kendrick Lamar and Drake, Smith recently won the Best Independent Album at the AIM Awards. Audiences can expect a mix of hits from her celebrated discography, including tracks from her latest album, Falling or Flying.
Amit Trivedi, a National Award-winning artist renowned for his groundbreaking Bollywood compositions, will also headline. Trivedi, who first performed at NH7 Weekender in 2014, is set to bring his genre-defying tunes, including hits from Dev.D and Qala, to the stage. Reflecting on his connection with NH7 Weekender, Trivedi shared, “The festival has always allowed artists like me to explore musical freedom. I’m thrilled to be part of this monumental 15th edition.”
Hip-hop fans will enjoy the debut of rapper Raftaar, known for his high-energy performances and hits that resonate with millions. Additionally, rising global sensation King and the legendary Usha Uthup, who has charmed audiences for over five decades, will add star power to this diverse lineup. Usha Uthup’s unique style, incorporating multiple languages and genres, promises to be a show-stopping experience.
International Stars Joining the Roster
Fans can also look forward to the Indian debut of DJ Craze, known as America’s “Best DJ” by Time Magazine, who’s prepared to showcase his unique blend of hip-hop and drum & bass. Multi-instrumentalist Youngr and Dutch DJ Jarreau Vandal will also join the international lineup, bringing their global appeal to India’s happiest music festival. Adding to the excitement, Australian pop artist Oliver Cronin and Japanese heavy metal band Asterism are among those making their first appearance at NH7 Weekender.
A Platform for Indian Talent
This year, NH7 Weekender celebrates not only global stars but also the best of India’s emerging talent. Indie rock band Chaar Diwaari, chart-topping pop artist Dhvani Bhanushali, and singer-producer Kayan, recognized in Forbes’ 30 under 30 list, are just a few of the local talents set to perform. The lineup also includes W.i.S.H, India’s first girl band in 22 years, and Punjabi rap icon Wazir Patar, known for his unique sound and collaborations on Sidhu Moose Wala’s Moosetape album.
