Oklahoma Woman Files Lawsuit Against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
The lawsuit, filed on December 20, also names several other defendants, including Bad Boy Entertainment, Atlantic Records, and Delta Airlines, as part of a broader racketeering enterprise.
The Allegations
According to the lawsuit, LaTroya Grayson and her half-sibling won an all-expenses-paid trip through a Tulsa radio station contest to attend one of Combs’ parties. Grayson alleges that after consuming two premade drinks at the event, she began to feel unwell and attempted to leave. She claims her next memory was waking up in a hospital room with no recollection of the night before.
“When (Grayson) regained consciousness at the hospital she noticed her shirt was ripped, her underwear was missing, she was not wearing any shoes, and the money she had traveled with was stolen,” the lawsuit states.
The filing includes evidence such as correspondence from Combs’ record company, airline boarding passes, hotel receipts, and hospital records. Grayson alleges she was threatened by an unknown caller after returning to Oklahoma, warning her not to pursue the matter due to Combs’ celebrity status.
Legal and Emotional Impact
The lawsuit states that Grayson experienced physical and emotional distress following the alleged incident, reporting pain she attributed to rough intercourse despite having no memory of being with anyone. The complaint details her fear and confusion, which prevented her from seeking medical treatment or contacting law enforcement at the time.
“(Grayson) did not seek medical treatment or otherwise report her assault to law enforcement because she was scared and confused,” the lawsuit explains.
RICO Allegations
Grayson’s lawsuit expands beyond Combs, accusing his label, Atlantic Records, the event venue, and others of participating in a racketeering enterprise. The claims include mail and wire fraud, negligence, and violations of New York City’s law against gender-motivated violence. The legal filing connects the alleged assault to a broader system of exploitation, using the event as a centerpiece for its argument.
Combs’ Defense
Sean “Diddy” Combs, currently detained in a Brooklyn jail awaiting trial on separate crimes charges, has denied Grayson’s allegations.
His attorney dismissed the claims as “pure fiction,” arguing that Grayson herself admitted to having no memory of the events.
“Mr. Combs has never assaulted anyone or engaged in trafficking,” the attorney said. “Her allegations against him are pure fiction. Mr. Combs cannot respond to every baseless lawsuit and lawyer-driven money grab.”
Broader Context
Combs is facing multiple lawsuits and criminal charges, including racketeering and trafficking. Over two dozen civil lawsuits have been filed by alleged victims, some of whom claim incidents date back to the 1990s. These cases, combined with the ongoing federal indictment, place Combs at the center of one of the entertainment industry’s most high-profile legal battles in recent years.
