Diddy’s Prince Harry and Prince William Obsession Exposed
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the legendary music entrepreneur, has long been famous for his spectacular parties, inviting A-list celebrities from all over the world. But recent reports indicate that one of Diddy’s dying dreams remained unfilled: inviting Prince Harry and Prince William to his legendary parties.
A Dream of Royal Attendance
As per Diddy’s previous representative, Rob Shuter, the rapper was “obsessed” with having the royal brothers host in his home. “He considers himself a king, so it perfectly fits that he would want to have two princes on his crew,” Shuter said. Though he made “more than 10” efforts to extend invitations, Harry and William apparently turned him down each time.
Diddy went as far as to offer to pay for them, but his overtures were politely declined. “They were never in his world,” Shuter said, highlighting the cultural divide between the royals and Diddy’s celebrity-driven lifestyle.
Previous Comments Surface
While Diddy is facing legal issues now, he caused a stir in 2011 when he appeared on “The Graham Norton Show” joking about Harry and William being taken off his guest list. “Hey, I was like, ‘Why don’t you come hang out with me?'” Diddy cracked, explaining that he’d moved on after the princes didn’t express interest.
When questioned more by the host, Diddy merely replied: “Trust me, they are off the list.”
Other Royal Aspirations
Interestingly enough, Diddy’s interest in the British royal family didn’t end with Harry and William. Journalist Celia Walden once broke the story that Diddy had said he had a burning need to be introduced to Queen Elizabeth II. “The Queen of England. I don’t know why I’ve never met her,” he allegedly told reporters. “She’s never invited me to the palace – not yet, anyway.”
Current Legal Woes
Diddy’s fascination with royal affiliations has reemerged when his life is being placed under scrutiny. The mogul is currently embroiled in serious accusations of sex trafficking and racketeering, accusations he has strongly denied. While waiting for trial in Brooklyn, his former glamour parties and celebrated associations are coming under intense scrutiny.
While the world looks on, Diddy’s efforts to marry celebrity culture with royal tradition are a fascinating aside in his illustrious history. Whether or not his ambitions were an earnest admiration or a strategic play to advance his own brand, this is certain: even the biggest stars don’t always get what they wish for.Sign up to our newsletter for the latest celebrity news and royal goss.
