It has been five years since the Dutch missed out on one of the world’s biggest dance events. This summer, Amsterdam’s Johan Cruijff Arena will again become the biggest club in the world on July 2nd.
For its highly-anticipated return, the annual festival has raised the bar as it replicates the intimate, electric atmosphere of a club within one of Amsterdam’s biggest venues. With its roots in house music, Sensation will bring back their beloved culture and groove to all aspects of the event
In honor of the varied emotions at play in the nightlife crowd, this year’s ‘YES’ theme invites visitors to celebrate the fact that positivity always wins. Sensation 2022 will bring together over 40,000 visitors from around the globe to celebrate life.
Milan Raven, Managing Director of the event says,
“The theme of the night is powerful; YES. To celebrate that positivity always wins, but also to show how the dance floor has always been the place where you can be yourself and let everything go. People need the warmth, the intimacy, and the feeling of togetherness that is part of the house music genre. And as house music is at our core, that feeling is what we’re going to provide. As people have come to expect from us, we will do so in the superlative.”
Sensation’s first edition was in 2001, with people dressed in all white at the party. World-class artists such as Tiësto, Sven Väth, Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, David Guetta, and Sebastian Ingrosso performed, making the event a major international success.
In the years that followed, the festival achieved success in over a dozen countries across five continents and was referred to as “The World’s Leading Dance Event.”.
Sensation’s reputation for delivering the world’s biggest house artists is set to continue in the 2022 edition, where the line-up promises to feature a heavy-weight line-up of world-class artists.
