Shaquille O’Neal aka Shaq aka DJ Diesel is out to break a record, this one being to break the Guiness Book Of World Record for the Largest moshpit at a music festival.
And while seeking to break such a record, what festival would be more apt than Excision’s Lost Lands which is set to take place this weekend from September 23-25th in Legend Valley, Ohio.
While Shaq himself has more often than not found himself among the crowds moshing himself, he has plans to make it a record breaking one at Lost Lands.
Should we go for Guinness world record for biggest moshpit at @lost_lands ???

As reported by We Rave You, the previous record which is held by heavy metal band DevilDriver for their 2007 performance of the “Largest Circle Pit” at England’s Download Festival, consisted of nearly 25,000 attendees. However, Guinness Book of World Records later denied the attempt, stating “Unfortunately, as there is no way you can physically define where any circle/mosh pit starts and ends, we cannot accept this as a category.”
While Lost Lands usually attracts close to double that in total number of attendees, if done right, breaking the record is not impossible. While it remains to be seen how it meets the nuances by The Guinness Book Of World Records, we’d like to wish DJ Diesel and those attending his set at Lost Lands good luck on their record breaking attempt!
