One of the most popular streaming platforms in the world, Spotify, is one that has shown the world many talents and has been a game-changing force in bridging the gap between music artists and fans!
After we heard Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said that Spotify intends to enter India in March 2018, an exciting deal has happened between the biggest music service and the second biggest YouTube channel T-Series. The news is that Spotify will be making all the 160000 songs on T-Series available on the platform. And now, Spotify has accidentally revealed that the services in India might get launched on the 31st of January.
Spotify’s end-user terms and conditions were spotted for India, which in a way, revealed the fact they will be launching soon here. The music portal is also likely to sign deals with other labels such as Sony, Universal, and Warner, although it is not officially announced.

The first step will see the platform unfold music in English and will eventually step into making music available in five languages, namely, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, and Punjabi. The subscription plans are yet to be disclosed but we could definitely expect a free trial period for a little more than 30 days!
Now, the Indian players in this space, like Amazon Prime Music, Gaana, JioSaavn, Apple Music and many others will have some serious competition! Well, we’re really glad that Indians will get access to the largest plethora of world music.
