Set to be the first show of their big comeback, Swedish House Mafia was all set to make Sunday a grand one at Audacy Beach Festival in Fort Lauderdale.
But it looks like the pandemic had other plans for them after the trio took to social media earlier today to share that despite following precautionary measures, two out of the three members from the trio tested positive for Covid-19.
The festival kicked off today and will take place over the weekend of December 4-5th, and would have been the Swedish Legends’ very first show as a part of their big comeback. While the decision is a hard one, it was out of anyone’s hands since it is a matter of health and safety. In the post shared across social media, the trio shared, “We’re sorry to disappoint our fans so close to the show, but we have to follow the recommended government guidelines and self-isolate. We must prioritize the health of our group, the crew, the festival staff, and our fans. We love you all and will see you soon.”
Despite following precautionary measures, two members of the group have tested positive for covid-19, meaning we will be unable to perform this Sunday at Audacy Beach Festival, Fort Lauderdale. We’re so sorry to disappoint our fans so close to the show.

While it will be a major letdown for SHM fans, some of who chose to attend the festival solely to watch the trio some together again, additional acts on the lineup include names like Twenty One Pilots, Steve Aoki, and The Lumineers, among others.
