Wishing the world a Happy New Year in true Swedish House Mafia-style, the trio dropped a blissful orchestral rendition of their classic track “One.”

Explaining in a tweet the idea behind it, the trio said ”We first created ‘One’ like an orchestra where each note played an intricate role in the piece. Years ago we spoke with Jacob Muhlrad to see how it would sound in his world. With that said, we are honored to give you the powerful recomposition of ‘One’ as ‘One Symphony’.”

Played to fans for the first time in 2019 during their first reunion tour stop at Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena, the trio partnered up alongside Swedish composer Jacob Mühlrad for an orchestral transformation of their now 11-year-old classic “One.” After continuing to play it throughout the remainder of their spring and summer circuit back in 2019, “One Symphony” had gone untouched up until Swedish House Mafia played host to The Weeknd’s Memento Mori radio show in late October.

In addition to this, the trio also released an extended version of their collaboration with The Weeknd, ‘Moth To A Flame” extended mix which they dropped exclusively as a part of their New Year’s Eve Playlist for Amazon Music.

While New Year’s eve may have passed, the new year has just begun and there is no better way to start it off than with some SHM! Check out the playlist below and let it be the soundtrack for you to step into 2022.
