It’s finally happening. Yes, Swedish House Mafia has finally revealed the date of their come-back on stage as a trio. For a few days now, the trio had created a lot of buzz as the mysterious countdown timer to 22nd of October was displayed on the website and social channels.
The day is here and SHM announced today in a press meet, that they will be back on stage in Stockholm on the 4th of May, 2019 at the Tele2 Arena. Now, that explains the posters that surfaced in the city recently and the social media posts which mentioned the name of the city. As the three legendary DJs spoke to the press, they shared a few things about what they had been doing all these years, their relationship with each other right now and also mentioned that when the three got together, something magical always happens.
The trio mentioned that they were overwhelmed by the fact that fans anticipated the reunion so much, which triggered old feelings and memories for the three of them. The even talked about having required a break and said that they were happy they could hang out outside of music. We are certainly glad that they have decided to relive the old days once again!
The interview also hinted at an album release in January next year in which we can expect some new kind of SHM music. Although the announcement revealed nothing more than the Stockholm stage, we can assume that there will be shows as London and Miami – the other two places where the posters surfaced.
All said and done, we are glad that the announcement happened finally and truly, it was worth all the hype and wait. So when are you booking your tickets to Stockholm?
