There’s no stopping this sensational duo who always manage to do something completely new. The Chainsmokers have seen a phenomenal phase over the past two years in terms of their music and are now set to venture into the movie production business as well.
The duo is set to produce a movie based on their single “Paris” which will be produced under their newly formed Kick The Habit Productions banner. The single came out on the 2017 album – Memories… Do Not Open.
“We are beyond thrilled to have launched Kick The Habit Productions as we continue to bridge the gap between our overall artistic vision, the entertainment industry as a whole and our fans. The age of being only a musician is over and we’re excited to go all-in on this venture to curate, produce and create meaningful projects,” – The Chainsmokers
Mickey Rapkin, who wrote and inspired the Pitch Perfect franchise, will write the screenplay for this project. The production banner will be led by Dan Marcus, a former digital media agent at UTA, who will serve as COO and president while Adam Alpert, the duo’s manager, will serve as the CEO of the company.
Talking about the duo, Marcus, the COO of the new company said, “Drew and Alex have a deep connection to their fans, not only through their music, but through what they stand for and represent: transcending preconceived limitations, pursuing one’s passion, entrepreneurialism, and a commitment to living an authentic life. They don’t just sing about these themes in their hit songs — it’s who they are.”
We wish Alex and Drew the very best of luck as they take a new step forward. It will be exciting to see how this will pan out and only time will tell if the feature will see the same success as the single itself.

Hey y’all, so we started a production company called Kick The Habit (hehe get it?) and we sold our first project to Tri Star! It’s a film written by the mega talented @mickeyrapkin and it’s based on our song Paris. Thank you to those who have believed in us all this time and pushed us to pursue our creative endeavors! @evansilverberg @chrishuvane @dfriedman @nbreezy5000 (and side note, yes i do kind of regret having blond hair at the Grammys)
