It’s not been long since The Chainsmokers dropped their third album, World War Joy, and kicked off the accompanying world tour.

But they’re already ready for more.

The duo took to social media to ironically announce that they will be going on a social media hiatus to focus their energy on their next and fourth studio album which they’re for now calling TCS4.

Moving more towards live performances, the World War Joy tour saw The Chainsmokers supported by 5SOS (5 Seconds Of Summer). To say the tour was a success would be an understatement. From bringing out blink182 to announce the album with them, to bringing the motorcycle globe of death out on tour with them, this one has definitely gone down in the books as one of the most successful tours to date for the band.

Assuring fans that they will be back on social media “soon (ish)”, they also went on to urge fans not to be shy to “come and say hello” if they see them, as they will definitely be around in real life. They did, however, go further to scrub clean their heavily followed (8.2 million) Instagram account to leave solely this post letting their fans know about the break.

On World War Joy we saw them collaborate with Kygo, Illenium, Bebe Rexha and many more, we’re already excited to see who all they plan to bring on board for their next album.

While the duo will remain absent from social media, their fans will still be able to catch them performing at a number of festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival and Creamfields, as well as continuing their Las Vegas residency at XS.
