Following up on his wildly successful album ‘After Hours’, The Weeknd took a new approach with the release and conceptualization of his fifth album, ‘Dawn FM.’

The album plays on being a radio show, narrated and hosted by none other than Jim Carrey channeling his inner nighttime disc jockey voice. The 16-track faux radio show claims to listeners that Carrey is “there to hold your hand and guide you through this painless transition.”

The roughly hour-long journey spanning 16 tracks sees The Weeknd partner with Tyler the Creator, Lil Wayne, and Quincy Jones on 3 of the tracks. While only 3 acts have accompanied him on the album’s tracks, there is more than meets the eye. Some heavy hitters from the industry share production credits on the album as well.

After their extremely successful collaboration ‘Moth To A Flame’, Swedish House Mafia has worked on 2 tracks for the album as well. The Swedes share production credits for “Sacrifice” and “How Do I Make You Love Me?’ On the other hand, The Weekend worked with Calvin Harris on “I Heard You’re Married’ while Oneohtrix Point Never served as the record’s Executive Producer.

Just a day old, the gritty ‘Sacrifice’ with its disco vibes is already accompanied with a signature Weeknd music video. You can watch it here.
