Last Saturday evening Balaton Sound music festival, two girls were found unconscious on the ground in DVBBS’ dressing room.
The ladies, who that had been previously been up in the front row and then invited backstage were found by the cleaning staff , who immediately called an ambulance. The news reporter of Hungarian news site Bors Online, where the news first leaked, says they don’t know how exactly the Canadian electronic music duo are related to the girls except for the fact they were found in their dressing room.
The police caught up with the duo at the airport and DVBBS were able to clarify their side of the story and were later released. Their performance at Sziget Festival in Hungary has been cancelled shortly after. The interviewers of BorsOnline looked for the Somogy County Police press office on Sunday, but haven’t released any meaningful information yet.
The brothers have been arrested at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport for drug related charges along with four other men, whom three tested positive for a drug test and the fourth as a witness. A suspicious substance was found during a pat down check.
According to Index, DVBBS has responded to some questions about the whole incident some time before being arrested (rough Google Hungarian translation):
“We are shocked that the Lake Festival (sic) has been the victim of some visitors to events that were hospitalized due. The police asked for our cooperation in the investigation, and of course we’ve done everything. The police confirmed that there is no relationship between us, between what happened and so we went on a few hours later in Ibiza. From being the case regardless of a marijuana-related case, we are happy to answer these accusations, and willing to help the police solve the case.“
