Tiesto’s DJ competition in the US, Your Shot has finally come to and end with Samtrakk walking away as the winner of the show. Congratulation to Samtrakk yea, but just watch the video below and tell us if this really does help Tiesto’s case in terms of his reputation.
The video below shows us Samtrakk’s chance at opening for Tiesto at Las Vegas’ Hakkasan nightclub. What one would generally expect is maybe parts of the DJs set with some showcase of skills however what we get is just multiple clips of Samtrakk with her hands completely off the decks dancing and waving, and an absence of any realtime audio from the venue. We dont know her song choice, or whether she even did anything up there besides a bit of normal mixing. What we do is get is Tiesto calling the performance ‘Very impressive’. Well yea sure he would, he’s getting paid to be shot saying that isn’t he?
No more discussing the video have a glance yourself. Though after watching it the question to be asked is – Would the winner of such competitions ever be featured in lineups as big festivals? Especially when every other DJ is a talented and known producer. Or is Tiesto gonna release a track with them on Musical Freedom as a ‘Tiesto Edit’?
