Following a number of high-profile remixes in 2018, Los Angeles-based duo Peppermint Heaven are ready to release their stunning new album “Perfect Things”.
Their unique brand of 80’s style indie pop has earned them a cult following over the last five years, and the new project looks set to continue the growth of their ever-growing fan base.
Juno (Keyboards & Vocals) and Spark (Bass Guitar, Drums & Vocals) have had quite the year so far, receiving critical acclaim for their last album “Curious Things”, which also garnered a great deal of support from the Spotify playlist community. The album was a brave and unequivocally unique take on 80’s music, in a contemporary production setting. This also provided the spark to work with some of the UK’s most talented underground producers. Working alongside Revaux, Oscuro, and Chords, the duo realised there was a rich vein of creativity between their sound and that of the UK underground scene. With “Perfect Things”, the band have taken this to the next level. Releasing music with a single-by-single approach and sharing remixes from the dance community, including Revaux and Oscuro (once again), as well as Nathan Jain, Danvers and FNP, their music has appeared on over 500 playlists and reached over 1 Million Streams on Spotify.
This November sees the full release of “Perfect Things”, an album full of rich heritage and influences from decades past and modern indie-pop respectively. The album ebbs and flows between elements of 80’s pop, synthwave, and a contemporary indie flare. The project includes rousing, groove-rich anthems such as Lessons In Love and Moonbeam, while still exploring the melancholy side of their songwriting guise in Break Your Fall and So Unreal. The overriding theme is outstanding musicianship, with intricate bass playing and electronica elements throughout.
