Review: Protohype – The Dog House EP

0

Boy oh Boy is this EP a treat for all you fans of heavy bass music! This past Tuesday, Protohype released his new, heavy weight EP, entitled “The Dog House” on Firepower Records.

Protohype brings the heat to winter and raises the mercury ten-fold to summer with these five subtastic tunes.

Starting off with “Let’s Go”, a mammoth trappy collab with Paper Diamond and Armanni Reign. Heading into “Bomb Bomb”, a filthy trapstep song with attitude. Already one of my favourite tunes of this EP. Following is “Rage” which features the talented Mikey Ceaser. Another trap tune with dubstep elements, a hard hitter for sure. “STFU” features Far East Movement. Its one of the more aggressive bass in your face tunes of “The Dog House”. One to burn the place down and annihilate ragers. The final track is produced in partnership with Init. This finale tune packs the “Ultimate Punch” to your boom box, leaving you wanting more.

If you’re all about that bass, no treble, then “The Dog House” EP is just for you. It gets my “Epic of a Colossal Nature” stamp of approval. Grab it while its hot here.
