We were witness to a barrage of artist albums and LP’s last year and every album came through with a formative collection of music that tells a story. 2017 has been no stranger to such albums, and it is difficult to define a clear winner so far. Third Party have powerful song writing capabilities and a discography that clearly defines their production prowess and emotive exuberance. Having contributed strongly to House and Progressive music, the London based duo has been on a roll from day one to their latest offering which could well be their best yet.
Having stayed true to their brand of Dance music, Third Party has a number of big tunes to their name on some of the biggest labels in the world with constant support including Size Recordings boss, Steve Angello. With some of the biggest dance tunes in recent times, Third Party has not only been here to stay but also cement their place amongst Electronic Music’s finest artists.
Having been through a constant transitional phase in the contemporary Electronic Music era, Third Party have managed to capture the raw emotion and euphoria with ‘Hope’ and have stayed true to their roots since they started out. Progressive House music has a dedicated fan following and Third Party have managed to deliver with soul and take the listener on a beautiful journey.
The album opens with ‘Without You’, with a smooth piano that builds into the signature euphoric synths and leads, complemented by soothing vocals. The track is poised for the larger stages and perfectly sets the tone for what is to come.
‘Waiting’ and ‘Live Forever’ are the vocal gems that we’ve had on repeat pre-release and you can see why. With a strong instrument background coupled with the signature saws and a beautiful vocal, Live Forever has captured many a emotion at a live show.
The album takes a new direction with the Pryda-esque ‘Vein’ and ‘Get Back’, that bring the groove and emotion and make for remarkable additions to the album.
The duo’s iconic and one of dance music’s biggest records in recent times ‘Every Day Of My Life’ makes it’s way back in the form of a VIP Mix. The driving melodies and euphoric moments in the track capture many an emotion in the listener and it makes for a perfect club or festival record.
The album jumps right back into groove territory with ‘Arrival” and it perfectly sets the tone with a unique break and gritty bassline.
The album further dives into creative bliss with the mid tempo beauty ‘Hurt’. The chorused vocals and soothing piano melodies add to the albums diversity.
‘Have No Fear’ and ‘Guiding Light’ are an excellent representation of ‘hands in the air’ music that steer the listeners into a captivating journey and an outburst of euphoric emotions.
‘Lions In The Wild’ in collaboration with Martin Garrix has been a mainstage regular at every major festival this year and could rightfully be one of the biggest anthems of the last decade with the stellar song writing and beautiful vocal that has been a driving force for both artists’ in their sets.
Having made a sizeable contribution to dance music’s legacy, Third Party have delivered a well defined and musically abstract compilation with ‘Hope’ and have managed to stay true to their roots while capturing the listeners attention and emotions with their incredible song writing and ability to piece together their creative blocks to present one fine album.
