Earlier this year, Martin Garrix was just a young Dutch producer with a catchy single and a dream. Now, the 17-year-old is living in a world where Tiesto personally invites him to hit the decks alongside him at the Amsterdam Dance Event. At the Event about two weeks ago, the two house music masters dropped Martin’s latest, “Wizard,” an electro smash co-produced with Jay Hardway. You can just hear the crowd going wild for its thumping breakdown during the live premiere in the video below.
Hypothetically, it would be hard to top the success of “Animals”, the banger you undoubtedly heard literally everywhere this summer. It went straight to the top of the Beatport charts after its release in May and put Martin Garrix on everyone’s. However, “Wizard” captures that same energy that “Animals” delivered, but with a new spin. The track certainly embodies the finger prints of Jay Hardway, and the tune is reminiscent of the pair’s earlier 2013 single, “Error 404″, which also saw success thanks to its release on Sander Van Doorn’s sublabel of Spinnin’ Records.
