Mix Of The Week: John Dopping

best progressive house mix 2020

John Dopping is a professional composer, instrumentalist, and producer with over a decade of experience across club music, progressive rock/metal, and jazz.

John’s solo career in trance music began in 2010 with his first release “The Mind” on Enhanced Recordings. Trance virtuoso Activa was charged with remixing the release, whereupon they established an ongoing working relationship, with John releasing his debut solo album “Words In Colour” on Activa’s Borderline Music label in 2014, featured in Mixmag and DJ Mag.

These foundations led to working with prestigious imprints like Black Hole, AYRA, and JOOF, and remixing for Paul Oakenfold, Beatman & Ludmilla, and Hyper.

He continues to release original music and run projects with some of the scene’s top producers & DJs, as well as designing sound banks & sample packs for Zenhiser.

Here’s a glimpse of his favourite sounds in progressive, as he takes over this week’s mix of the week.
