Elden Ring: Nightreign is gearing up for its big release on May 30, but before it hits PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, FromSoftware is making some major difficulty tweaks based on feedback from the game’s network test.
Director Junya Ishizaki recently promised players that the difficulty level of the upcoming co-op title has been adjusted after many players struggled to make it through the game’s challenges.
During the network test, some players found Elden Ring: Nightreign tough to handle from start to finish. This kind of feedback is nothing new for FromSoftware, known for its tough-as-nails gameplay, but this time around, they’ve taken a slightly different approach. Ishizaki stated that the team received a lot of “helpful feedback” about the difficulty, and after considering this input, the team made adjustments to ensure that the game remains challenging but also more manageable for players.
The changes aren’t just about the overall difficulty, though. FromSoftware is also tweaking specific elements of the game to improve the experience. One notable adjustment comes in the form of Gladius, one of the game’s Nightlords. Players can look forward to some updates for this character, which should provide a more balanced and engaging experience when battling him.
On top of that, the game’s map is also getting a bit of a makeover. According to Ishizaki, some players during the test struggled to understand what elements were visible on the map, making it tough to figure out the next steps in their journey or how to fully utilize the character movesets. FromSoftware heard this feedback loud and clear, and they’ve worked to improve map readability, ensuring that important info is clearer and easier to follow during gameplay.
With the May 30 release date fast approaching, it looks like Elden Ring: Nightreign will be delivering a more polished and balanced experience for fans. The tweaks are designed to keep the game’s challenging nature intact but also offer players a more manageable experience, something that should make the co-op gameplay more fun and less frustrating.
Get ready to dive into the world of Elden Ring: Nightreign, where the mix of difficulty, strategy, and exploration will keep you coming back for more. With these changes in place, it might be just the right challenge for both veterans and newcomers to enjoy.
