Verdansk is Back in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3
The wait is over as Verdansk makes its long-awaited return in Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 3. The legendary Battle Royale map will officially be available on April 3, following the full Season 3 content launch on April 2 for Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies. This is more than just a nostalgic revival. Verdansk has been completely rebuilt, combining the best elements of the original map with new features that enhance gameplay. Players can expect updated mechanics, fresh game modes, limited-time events, and the return of iconic weapons that defined the early Warzone experience.
Verdansk remains true to its roots while incorporating modern updates that improve the overall battle royale experience. The map will feature 150-player lobbies, bringing back the original cinematic infil sequences and freefall shooting mechanics. The looting system has been reworked to reintroduce classic Supply Boxes, Floating Loot, Armor Satchels, and the original Buy Station menus. High-Value Loot Zones will be added, offering top-tier gear for players who are willing to take risks. Additional quality-of-life updates include Squad Redeploys at Buy Stations, improved HUD loadout alerts, and detailed death recaps that provide greater insight into match outcomes.
Season 3 delivers an exciting mix of game modes to cater to different playstyles. Battle Royale makes its return, allowing players to engage in high-stakes firefights across Verdansk’s sprawling landscape. Plunder Quads will offer a more fast-paced experience where teams can accumulate cash and respawn freely. Bootcamp Mode provides an opportunity to train before jumping into competitive matches. A new Battle Royale Casual Playlist will introduce 28-player lobbies mixed with AI-controlled opponents, making it a great option for new players or those looking to sharpen their skills before entering high-intensity battles.
The Return to Verdansk event will challenge players to explore 12 key zones across the map while unlocking hidden safes and completing objectives. Those who successfully finish all challenges will earn the Kali Sticks melee weapon, a fan-favorite from previous Warzone seasons. Several iconic weapons from the Verdansk era are also making a comeback. The Kilo 141 Assault Rifle will be automatically unlocked for all players upon logging in, while the CR-56 AMAX Assault Rifle and HDR Sniper Rifle will be obtainable through the Season 3 Battle Pass.
Black Ops 6 is also receiving major content updates in Season 3. Multiplayer mode will see the return of the remastered Firing Range map along with classic game modes like Demolition and Sharpshooter. The Zombies experience expands with the introduction of Shattered Veil, a dark-horror map set in a sinister mansion deep in the woods, designed to deliver intense survival gameplay and immersive storytelling.
The Season 3 update will be rolled out in two phases. On April 2 at 9 AM PT, Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies content will go live, followed by the Warzone Verdansk update on April 3 at 9 AM PT. To celebrate the launch, Call of Duty is offering a free 24-hour trial of Black Ops 6, allowing players to experience the full range of new content, weapons, and game modes without any cost.
Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops 6 will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Players are encouraged to preload the update before launch to gain instant access once the servers go live. Exclusive rewards can be claimed through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace, or the official Call of Duty website.
Verdansk is set to reclaim its place as the ultimate Warzone battlefield, bringing back legendary fights, nostalgic weaponry, and action-packed events. With new enhancements, refined mechanics, and a mix of familiar and fresh content, Season 3 promises to be one of the most exciting updates in Call of Duty history. Players should log in early, take advantage of the new challenges, and prepare for the triumphant return of one of the franchise’s most iconic maps.
