Brandon Sklenar Defends Blake Lively Amid Justin Baldoni Lawsuit

Brandon Sklenar, co-star of the film It Ends With Us, has publicly backed Blake Lively amid allegations she has leveled against director and co-star Justin Baldoni.

Lively, in a legal filing, accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her after the movie’s release. Sklenar’s public support has added to the growing wave of solidarity for Lively within the industry.

Sklenar Breaks His Silence

On December 23, 2024, Sklenar shared a New York Times article detailing Lively’s legal filing on his Instagram story. He accompanied the link with the caption, “For the love of god read this,” and tagged Lively’s account, adding a heart emoji beside her handle. The actor’s gesture sent a strong message of support for his co-star, whom he worked closely with during the film’s production.

Allegations Against Baldoni

Blake Lively’s complaint accuses Baldoni of inappropriate behavior on set, including showing explicit material, making unprofessional remarks, and altering scenes without consent. Additionally, she alleges that Baldoni, with the help of a PR crisis manager, orchestrated a retaliatory campaign to damage her reputation after she spoke up about his conduct. Baldoni has denied all allegations, calling them “categorically false.”

Industry Support

Sklenar isn’t the only one to rally behind Lively. Author Colleen Hoover, who wrote the novel It Ends With Us and served as an executive producer on the film, also expressed her support. In an Instagram story, Hoover wrote, “You have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Never change. Never wilt.”

Other prominent figures, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Paul Feig, and Lively’s The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars, have also voiced their solidarity, commending Lively for her bravery in addressing the alleged misconduct.

The Backdrop of Tension

The controversy adds to what was already rumored to be a tense production environment. During the film’s promotion, Lively and Baldoni reportedly refused to appear together. While It Ends With Us became a surprise box office hit, grossing over $350 million globally, the alleged behind-the-scenes drama has since overshadowed its success.

As the legal battle unfolds, Sklenar’s support underscores the importance of solidarity in challenging moments. By publicly backing Lively, he has joined a broader conversation about accountability and workplace safety in Hollywood. For Lively, the growing support from her peers serves as both validation and a reminder that she’s not alone in this fight.
