Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s off-screen feud is getting messier by the day, and Chelsea Handler has officially had enough. The comedian didn’t hold back when discussing the duo’s legal showdown, comparing their public spat to a playground fight.

“The reason it’s such a frenzy is that they keep releasing more and more stuff,” Handler told Page Six, referencing the headlines surrounding Lively’s sexual harassment allegations against Baldoni and his subsequent lawsuits. “Stop it! You’re not helping yourself,” she added.

What Sparked the Feud?

Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 41, co-starred in the 2024 film It Ends With Us, but their working relationship reportedly soured during production. By December 2024, Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint, accusing Baldoni of inappropriate behavior on set and attempting to damage her reputation. Shortly after, she sued him for lost wages and emotional distress.

Baldoni denied the allegations and hit back with a $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times for publishing Lively’s accusations. He also filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane, accusing them of attempting to ruin his career.

Text Messages, Tabloids, and Legal Maneuvers

The drama escalated when Baldoni released private text messages between himself and Lively, including one where she allegedly wrote: “If you knew me (in person) longer, you’d have a sense of how flirty and yummy the ball-busting will play. It’s my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth…..” The move backfired, with critics accusing Baldoni of violating Lively’s privacy.

Lively, meanwhile, called out The Hollywood Reporter for its coverage of the feud, labeling it “outrageously insulting” and accusing the publication of perpetuating sexist stereotypes against women who file workplace complaints.

Handler’s Take: Enough Is Enough

Handler, known for her blunt humor, took aim at both parties while hosting the 2025 Critics Choice Awards. “Thank you for providing us with that distraction,” she joked. “I think we’re all grateful, and I think we’re good. I think everybody in this room, no matter whose side you’re on, we can all agree to accept that there’s probably not going to be a sequel.”

She doubled down in her interview with Page Six, likening the situation to “a fight in a schoolyard playground” and urging someone in their inner circles to step in. “Isn’t someone saying, ‘Stop it!’?” Handler asked.

What’s Next for Lively and Baldoni?

With both stars refusing mediation, their cases have been consolidated, and a trial is set for March 9, 2026. Until then, the drama shows no signs of slowing down, especially if more texts and legal filings make their way into the public eye.

For now, Handler’s advice seems like the best takeaway: Stop it.
