The latest SNL cold open took a wild turn as comedy legend Mike Myers made a surprise appearance, channeling his best Elon Musk impression.

The sketch reimagined the now-infamous Oval Office showdown between Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, blending satire with real-life political chaos. Myers, best known for his roles in Austin Powers and Wayne’s World, brought an over-the-top energy, adding a dose of absurdity to the already heated exchange.

Mike Myers made a surprise appearance as Elon Musk, adding a layer of comedic absurdity to an already ridiculous political showdown. The cold open, featuring James Austin Johnson’s uncanny Trump impression, poked fun at everything from Trump’s notorious “I have the cards” moment to JD Vance’s aggressive interruptions.

The sketch opened with Johnson’s Trump welcoming Zelenskyy played by Mikey Day with a jab at his wardrobe: “I’d like to thank President Zelenskyy for dressing like casual Star Trek. We love Star Trek because there’s no DEI. The white guy was the leader and he bossed around Spock, who was, I believe, Guatemalan.”

As Bowen Yang’s JD Vance jumped in to cut off Zelenskyy at every turn, Trump doubled down on his infamous “cards” remark: “You say you wanna end this war, but frankly you don’t have the cards. I have the cards. I have Skip. I have Draw Four. I have Get Out of Jail Free, the Supreme Court gave me that one.”

Then, in came Myers as Musk, earning cheers from the audience. Channeling his “Austin Powers” energy, Myers nailed Musk’s awkwardly overconfident mannerisms. “Uh Donald, what are you doing in my office? You know I’m the president now. I’m kidding! I’m kidding. Maybe not!”

Myers then launched into a parody of Musk’s controversial firings at X (formerly Twitter): “They’re saying I’m firing people with no cause. But I do have cause. It’s cause I feel like it.” He even threw in a few jumps and the now-infamous Musk phrase: “Legalize comedy! Legalize comedy!”

The sketch perfectly captured the absurdity of the real-life political drama while giving Myers a chance to remind the world why he’s still a comedy legend.
