On Tuesday night, a shooting at the KDC/One warehouse in New Albany, Ohio, left one person dead and five others injured.
The incident went down around 10:20 p.m. inside the facility, which had about 150 employees working at the time.
New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones said authorities have identified a person of interest, but they’re not in custody yet. No motive has been confirmed, though Jones hinted it looked like a “targeted attack.” A firearm was recovered at the scene.
The Aftermath
Three of the injured victims were taken to Mount Carmel East hospital. Their conditions haven’t been released yet.
Police locked down Smiths Mill Road North and told people to avoid the area as the investigation continues. Officers from multiple agencies, including Columbus police and Franklin County deputies, are assisting.

Authorities haven’t released details on whether the suspect was an employee or had any known connection to the victims. So far, no arrests have been made.
