Blumbros are two brothers hailing from a notorious district in North Philadelphia.

The rap artists have joined the DJ and producer MAKJ for a second collaboration on another heavy slice of hip hop. The new track, Love Me, from their forthcoming “Thank Da Jects” EP, basks in a refreshingly confident sass that sets the tone for an unpredictable trio of music enthusiasts.

With their relationship at the core, Blumbros are unusual artists that don’t shy away from their unusual start in life. After being born into a family of 11 children, this pair were separated for ten years to lead separate lives within foster care. Eventually meeting as teenagers, Blumbros found an unbelievable commonality in music. Their beats started hitting speakers further afield after their regional hit Wanna Be Grown garnered unexpectedly swift and organic success. The Blumbros’ career went on to focus on forming a voice for a generation of youth forced to jump from home to home.

Born in California and moving to China in his teenage years, MAKJ is an artist that threw himself into music whenever he could. He started musical experimentation by putting in 16 plus hour days to deliver YouTube tutorials. This obsession with producing came shortly after he reached international levels with his race car career. Deciding to join the Icon Collective production school, MAKJ meticulously refined his skills until homing in on what’s now his trademark sound. Known predominantly for the high-octane anthem Party Until We Die, MAKJ’s roster also boasts hits Derp and Bring It Back. As he cultivates a mature musical landscape, he draws from eclectic elements of hip hop and Latin to influence his work.

Blumbros and MAKJ first worked together on an assertive effort released earlier this year, LS6. Their second collaboration is another robust playlist staple that’s brimming with intoxicating, rumbling bass. A chaotic atmosphere is created from Blumbros and their fast-paced delivery and dynamic rhymes. The new single Love Me is an honest depiction from both artists who are confidently exploring their musical direction. It’s a true assortment of sophisticated percussion and true street swag.
