As the world mourns the death of pop superstar Prince, David Guetta paid a humble tribute to the lost hero at Tomorrowland Brasil.

David Guetta took the opportunity to honour the late pop icon, Prince, in the form of a heartfelt tribute during his Tomorrowland Brasil mainstage set. Guetta began the tribute by playing the intro to Prince’s classic ‘Let’s go crazy’ which includes the famous quote “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life.”

Guetta spoke to the crowd saying, “….You’ve made me really really happy today. But today there was also, something that was for me really bad news. I think the two best artists ever were Michael Jackson and Prince. And tonight, Prince died and it makes me really really sad and I would love to play a record for him who is probably the biggest creator. One last record in honor of Prince.”

Guetta then played Prince’s track ‘Kiss’ as the fans celebrated the music icon’s life with the stage turning to Prince’s trademark purple color as homage to him.

RIP Prince…
