When Tomorrowland announced the inevitable cancellation of their 2020 edition due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was sure to leave a void on those epic weekends in July.
But the festival had other plans up their sleeve which they later revealed with mysterious countdowns in full Tomorrowland grandeur style.
Tomorrowland presents Around the World, The Reflection of Love Chapter 1 is set to take place on July 25-26 2020, the second weekend of the originally scheduled festival.
The digital 3D experience promises to be like none other and as Michiel Beers, co-founder of Tomorrowland put it, “For us, it’s a bit re-inventing the festival experience, but we truly believe that we can bring the spirit of Tomorrowland and entertainment at the highest level to people and homes around the globe.”
He also went on to explain the aim of this ‘never-before-seen interactive entertainment experience’ saying “We hope that hundreds of thousands of people will unite in a responsible way and that small Tomorrowland gatherings at people’s homes – from Canada to Australia, from Japan to Brazil and everywhere in between – will be organized. Especially during the weekend where normally Tomorrowland Belgium would take place, we really have the power to unite the world.”

While the full line up is set to release in just a matter of days, it’s not just about the musical acts. Besides the performances, there will be all kinds of interactive experiences to choose from, including inspirational webinars, games, and workshops related to lifestyle, food, fashion, and the Tomorrowland Foundation. Together with the performances, Tomorrowland Around The World will be a full day/weekend experience between 15h00–01h00 CEST. There will be a ‘time-zone-friendly’ option for visitors from Asia and North or South America.
Tickets to this virtual extravaganza will be available from Thursday, June 18, 2020, at 15:00 CEST on the website. Tickets for the virtual event can be bought by logging in or creating an official Tomorrowland account and on the day of the event, a link will be sent to your account. All Tomorrowland Belgium and Winter Main Buyers of 2020 will receive a discount code of € 2.50 for every ticket they have bought. This in spite of the festival not even offering the option for refunds to ticket buyers from their 2020 edition.
