About a week ago, Drum & Bass trio Black Sun Empire announced the release of their sixth studio album “The Wrong Room”. The album will be released on 31st of March on their very own label, Blackout Music.
Black Sun Empire have been on the forefront of the Drum & Bass scene since the inception of the trio in 1995. Their approach to drum & bass has given them a legendary status in the drum & bass fraternity. The trio enjoyed major success making Techno and Breaks individually before switching to drum & bass in 1995 and finally making it their permanent genre in 1997.
The Blackout train has well and truly left the station already in 2017, and with the year’s debut single from Black Sun Empire featuring collaborations with Noisia and Pythius the momentum that is being gathered so early is bordering on frightening.
The days are growing shorter and the outlook for the coming months is dark and bleak – “winter is coming” has been the mantra for a number of weeks.
