LA-based DJ and producer Mickey Valen has released his first track of 2017, a remix of Swedish pop star Elin Bergman’s single ‘Naked.’
The release comes after his highly successful track ‘Meet Me’ which has amassed over 50 million plays across YouTube, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
Valen rose from obscurity to chart-topper in a sudden, astonishing manner with ‘Meet Me’ and despite being a business analyst by trade, the success of his music has led him to quit his job and focus on production full time.
His remix of former Swedish Idol 2013 standout, is another fine entrant with its upbeat synths and melodic vocals sure to be a hit with music enthusiasts everywhere.
Despite staying relatively quiet for the past few months, Valen has a lot lined up for 2017 with several collaborations with A-list artists lined up as well as some solo releases.
Speaking about his remix for ‘Naked,’ Valen had this to say:
“I heard the original to this song and thought the lyrics and theme were really unique…I wanted to put my own spin to the song, something a little sweet and savage.”
