Ariana Grande is officially stepping into the chaotic, awkward world of the Fockers, in “Meet the Parents 4”.
The 31-year-old singer and actress is set to star in Meet the Parents 4, joining original cast members Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. The film is currently slated for release on November 25, 2026.
This marks the first entry in the Meet the Parents franchise since 2010’s Little Fockers. According to Deadline, both Teri Polo and Blythe Danner will also reprise their roles, while John Hamburg returns to write the script, as he did for the original trilogy.
Grande, who recently made waves for her role as Glinda in the upcoming Wicked films, is stepping further into the movie spotlight. She’s no stranger to acting, starting her career on Nickelodeon, but her performance in Wicked has reignited her passion for film. Speaking with ScreenDaily, she said, “I would love to exist in this space for a while longer. I love finding characters that make people feel seen and human.”
While plot details for Meet the Parents 4 are still under wraps, fans can expect the familiar blend of awkward family dynamics, misunderstandings, and comedic chaos that made the earlier films so memorable. Stiller plays Greg Focker, the well-meaning but often unlucky nurse trying to navigate his in-laws, especially his no-nonsense father-in-law Jack Byrnes, played by De Niro.
The original Meet the Parents debuted in 2000 and was a major box office success, spawning two sequels: Meet the Fockers in 2004 and Little Fockers in 2010. The franchise has earned a loyal fan base thanks to its relatable family conflicts and absurd humor.
With Ariana Grande entering the mix, speculation is swirling about who she’ll play. Could she be the grown-up daughter of Greg and Pam? A new love interest for someone in the Byrnes-Focker extended family? The studio isn’t saying just yet, but her casting signals that the franchise is getting a fresh injection of star power and likely aiming to reach a broader, younger audience.
Robert De Niro and producer Jane Rosenthal will produce the film through Tribeca Productions, while Ben Stiller will also produce via Red Hour Films. With Hamburg writing and much of the original cast returning, fans are hopeful this new installment will recapture the charm and chaos that made the earlier movies so beloved.
Whether you’re here for the cringe-worthy comedy, the dysfunctional family drama, or just curious to see Ariana Grande bring her talent to the big screen once again, Meet the Parents 4 looks like a sequel worth watching.
