Blake Lively Told Taylor Swift to Delete Texts Amid Legal Drama

Blake Lively asked Taylor Swift to delete texts as part of her ongoing legal battle with actor and director Justin Baldoni, sources reveal.

This unexpected twist adds a new layer of drama to the already complicated dispute between the actress and the filmmaker. Blake, 37, has accused 41-year-old Justin Baldoni of harassment on the set of their film It Ends With Us, leading to a bitter legal showdown that’s now pulling Taylor Swift into the mix.

Court documents recently uncovered by Page Six claim that Blake requested Taylor Swift, 35, to delete their private messages. The exact timing of this request isn’t clear, but it’s become a focal point in the lawsuit. Justin’s legal team, representing himself and his production company Wayfarer Studios, referenced an anonymous source they believe is reliable, stating Blake made this unusual ask.

It doesn’t stop there. According to the filings, Blake’s lead lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, allegedly reached out to Taylor Swift’s legal team, Venable, to request a “statement of support” from the pop superstar. The court documents suggest this request came with an implied threat: if Taylor refused, Blake’s personal text messages in her possession might be made public. That’s some serious legal chess right there.

Taylor’s side didn’t take this lightly. Representatives from Taylor Swift responded with a written message directly to Michael Gottlieb, rejecting the pressure. Now, Justin’s lawyers want to subpoena Venable’s internal communications to get their hands on these exchanges, claiming they show an attempt to intimidate a key witness in the case. While Taylor hasn’t been accused of any wrongdoing, she’s been subpoenaed as a potential witness, bringing her unwittingly into the legal mess.

In a strong denial, Michael Gottlieb called these allegations “categorically false” and “completely untethered from reality.” Meanwhile, Taylor’s publicist emphasized that the singer wasn’t involved in the film’s production and had been busy touring worldwide in 2023 and 2024, headlining what’s been called the biggest tour in history.

Blake and Taylor have been close friends since 2015, making this legal entanglement even more complicated. Earlier this year, Justin Baldoni hit back with a countersuit against Blake, accusing her of defamation and extortion. His countersuit paints a picture of Blake calling on Taylor and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as her protectors during creative disputes.

Justin’s lawyers made it clear in their filing: the pressure wasn’t just from Blake. They said, “Baldoni was not just dealing with Lively. He was also facing Lively’s ‘dragons,’ two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities in the world, who were not afraid to make things very difficult for him.”

This ongoing legal drama involving Blake Lively, Taylor Swift, and Justin Baldoni is far from over. With subpoenas flying and texts allegedly deleted, fans and insiders alike are watching closely as the story unfolds.
