John Crawley, better known on TikTok as KingBeardX, has died at the age of 47.
The popular social media star, who was famous for his humorous reactions and quirky perspectives on how individuals consume food, passed away on Monday at a Mississippi hospital.
TMZ reports that his death was confirmed by the Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany, where funeral director James Steele disclosed Crawley’s cause of death. Steele said that the TikTok sensation succumbed to cardiac arrest, leaving behind his mourning family, intimate friends, and millions of followers who loved him.
Knowing him personally, John was a nice guy. He brightened a lot of people’s worlds. I just left his home and was with his mother, we prayed together. She’s shredded right now but she’s going to make it,” Steele reported to the outlet.
Hospitalization and GoFundMe Campaign
Prior to his death, Crawley had allegedly spent over two weeks in the hospital fighting severe respiratory issues. His health rapidly declined, which resulted in his transfer to the ICU, where he was put on a ventilator and eventually needed a chest tube. In spite of medical interventions, his health did not recover.
Anthony Caruso, Crawley’s ex-podcast co-host and close friend, initiated a GoFundMe campaign to help with medical bills as Crawley did not have health insurance. According to Caruso, Crawley was the sole breadwinner of his household, and the fundraiser was supposed to assist with hospital fees. After his untimely demise, the money will now be used to pay for funeral expenses and give assistance to his family members.
Caruso wrote earlier, “John is the main breadwinner for his family, and unfortunately, he doesn’t have medical insurance. His condition is quite unstable, and we’re all worried about him.”

Fans have since filled social media with condolences, recalling him not only as a creator of content but as a source of good who touched lives globally.
