DDG has taken legal action to prevent Halle Bailey from taking their son, Halo, out of the country, claiming serious safety concerns.
The YouTube streamer filed a motion on June 4 asking the court for an emergency hearing to stop Bailey from traveling internationally with their 17-month-old son, specifically targeting an upcoming vacation to Italy. This legal battle is heating up as DDG alleges Halle Bailey poses a “risk” not only to their son but to herself as well.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, DDG claims Bailey has made repeated threats of suicide and self-harm, which he says puts both Halo and Bailey in emotional and psychological danger. He argues that if Halo were taken out of the country, the toddler would be left without the protections of the court or any emergency intervention mechanisms. DDG says Bailey’s mental health struggles have led to instances where Halo’s safety was at risk, including a frightening incident where Bailey allegedly took DDG’s gun during an argument and left the house armed, appearing emotionally unstable and incoherent.
This comes after Bailey was granted temporary physical and legal custody of Halo in May, following allegations from her that DDG abused her physically and emotionally. The court had issued a temporary restraining order requiring DDG to stay more than 100 yards away from Bailey and their son. That restraining order expired at a hearing scheduled for June 4, the same day DDG filed his new motion.
Bailey is also fighting back in court. She asked the judge to block DDG from having visitation rights with Halo, though she suggested he be allowed supervised visits once a week for six hours with a professional company while Halo stays in Los Angeles. She also requested a court order to prevent DDG from taking their son out of Los Angeles County.
The former couple’s relationship began in 2022 but ended in 2024, and since then, their custody battle has become increasingly tense and public. DDG’s motion highlights his urgent concern over his son’s well-being and safety, focusing on the risks of international travel amid Bailey’s alleged emotional instability.
As the drama unfolds, this case sheds light on the complexities of co-parenting amidst personal struggles and legal challenges. It also brings attention to serious issues around domestic violence and mental health, reminding anyone facing similar situations to seek help.
