Demi Lovato is officially a married woman, and her dreamy wedding with Jordan “Jutes” Lutes has everyone feeling emotional.
The couple tied the knot in an intimate, romantic ceremony in California on Sunday, May 25, and Vogue got the exclusive scoop. From the couture fashion to the love story that started in a studio, this wedding had all the magic.
Demi, 32, looked breathtaking walking down the aisle in a custom “pearl white” Vivienne Westwood gown. The dress featured a corset bodice and a tulle cathedral-style veil, the kind of look that screams elegance and edge all at once. “I have been a fan of Vivienne Westwood’s designs for a long time,” she said. “When I was thinking about what dress style I wanted, I kept coming back to Vivienne’s designs-specifically how the silhouettes really complement curves and her use of corsets.” After working closely with the Westwood team, Demi declared, “I love everything about the dress.” And honestly, same.

But the wedding fashion didn’t stop there. Demi later changed into a second Westwood creation for the reception, an ivory silk satin column dress with a draped corset top. Both looks were pure perfection and matched the vibe of the day flawlessly.
Before the big day, Demi had already been very vocal about how much Jutes means to her. On February 14, she shared a sweet Instagram post that was basically a love letter. “Jordan, I cannot WAIT to marry you!! The past 3 years have been the best 3 years of my life, and I have you to thank for that,” she wrote, next to adorable pics of them posing by a vintage Porsche. “I’m obsessed with your heart, your love, and your light. I can’t wait to grow old with you and start a family together. 🥹🥹 Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life. I love you, honey!!!”
Their story started back in 2022 when they met during a writing session for Demi’s Holy Fvck album. It wasn’t love at first lyric, but close. On the LadyGang podcast, Demi admitted she immediately noticed Jutes. “I texted my friends and was like, ‘Oh my God, the hottest guy just walked in. I am so nervous. I don’t know what to do with myself’,” she said. It took a couple of months before things turned romantic, but once they did, the chemistry was undeniable.
Jutes even co-wrote several songs for her album, including “Substance,” “Happy Ending,” and “City of Angels.” He’s been her creative partner and biggest fan from day one. In an Instagram birthday tribute in August 2023, he wrote, “Your heart has changed lives all over the planet… especially some dude from a farm in Canada who wound up in your session over a year ago. I didn’t know the perfect person existed until I met you. But now that I do, I’m going to spend the rest of my life protecting you and doing whatever I can to squeeze another smile and belly laughut of you. I couldn’t be more proud to call you my baby.”
He proposed on December 16, 2023, during a “personal and intimate” moment in Los Angeles. It wasn’t a big, flashy event, it was them, just being themselves. Demi later told PEOPLE in September 2024, “You know, I’ve waited my whole life for him. It’s very grounding to have a partner that is so supportive, so loving, so caring. It’s very easy to stay centered with him because I love him so much and he treats me so amazingly.”
And if you’re wondering why they didn’t rush the wedding, it’s because they wanted to take it slow and actually enjoy the process. Jutes said it best in an interview in October 2024: “We’re not trying to stress ourselves out. I feel like a lot of weddings can be stressful and very quick, and so we’re on it, but we’re also taking our time, and we’re also just enjoying being engaged.” He added, “We’re not trying to skip engagement to get right to the wedding. We’re just basking in it and soaking it up. We’ll be married forever. We just want to enjoy every step.”
Their relationship seems to be built on laughter, honesty, and a lot of love. During her appearance on The Howard Stern Show in September 2023, Demi said, “He has the best personality. We laugh nonstop. There’s this partnership there that is just so magnetic. So I think if you can find someone that makes you feel safe, that you’re so attracted to, that you laugh with constantly, that’s the formula of a really great relationship.”
From writing sessions to wedding vows, Demi and Jutes have created something real and beautiful. And now, with their California wedding behind them, they’re officially husband and wife, and loving every minute of it.
