Demi Lovato and Jutes might be walking down the aisle way sooner than anyone thought.
According to a new report by TMZ, the couple is gearing up to get married on Memorial Day weekend, which falls on May 26 in the US. Yep, that’s just around the corner.
The two musicians, who got engaged back in December 2023, have kept most of the wedding details pretty lowkey. There’s no confirmed location yet, and it looks like they’re staying quiet about the finer plans. But the timeline? It’s happening soon, like, real soon.
Demi Lovato and Jutes’ wedding has been a long time coming, especially for fans who’ve watched the singer grow and navigate some incredibly personal struggles. Demi, now 32, has been open about her journey through mental health battles, including bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. Through it all, she’s emphasized how important it is to stay healthy, both mentally and physically. In a recent interview, she said, “You just have to find balance in everything you do, whether it’s with working or resting. Rest and recovery are equally as important to working out as the actual workouts themselves.”
And it’s not just about health, it’s about love too. Demi’s clearly found something special with Jutes. Speaking to Us Weekly, she said, “I think being in a supportive relationship is just so rewarding, because no matter what endeavours we embark on, I know that my partner will always support me.” It’s obvious the two are all-in on each other.
Demi, who previously dated actor Wilmer Valderrama, now seems super grounded and genuinely happy. “I’m currently in the studio,” she teased in the same interview, “I can’t say much more now, but I am excited for the year ahead!” So not only is she planning a wedding, but she’s also cooking up something new in music. Basically, she’s in her full thriving era.
Meanwhile, Jutes has taken a slightly more relaxed approach to the wedding planning. He’s made it clear they’re in no rush, even though, ironically, that big day might be just around the corner. In an earlier chat with PEOPLE, he said, “We’re not trying to stress ourselves out. I feel like a lot of weddings can be stressful and very quick, and so we’re on it, but we’re also taking our time, and we’re also just enjoying being engaged.”
That laid-back energy didn’t mean they weren’t serious. Jutes added, “We’re not trying to skip engagement to get right to wedding. We’re just basking in it and soaking it up. We’ll be married forever. We just want to enjoy every step.”
Even then, Demi had already made it clear how deeply she felt about him. She gushed, “You know, I’ve waited my whole life for him. It’s very grounding to have a partner who is so supportive, so loving, so caring. It’s very easy to stay centred with him, because I love him so much and he treats me so amazing.”
If Memorial Day weekend really is the time they say “I do,” it’s shaping up to be one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings of the year. Whether it’s a beach ceremony, a glam rooftop affair, or something super private, Demi Lovato and Jutes’ wedding is going to be one to watch.
