Demi Lovato is officially a married woman and not just any kind of married.
According to people close to her, she’s “never been happier” after tying the knot with Jordan “Jutes” Lutes on Sunday, May 25. The two said “I do” in what sources are calling a magical, emotional, and picture-perfect ceremony in Santa Barbara. For someone who’s had a rollercoaster of a journey over the years, Demi’s glow-up right now is real, and her inner circle says it has everything to do with Jutes.
The intimate wedding took place at the Bellosguardo Foundation, also known as the Clark Estate-a stunning oceanfront location with sweeping coastal views that set the scene for their dreamy vows. The vibe was romantic and intimate, with a few teary-eyed moments that hit Demi hard, even though she was mostly smiling throughout.
For the big day, Demi rocked a custom “pearl white” Vivienne Westwood gown. The dress was made of heavy silk satin and featured a corset bodice that flattered her curves beautifully. In an interview with Vogue, she explained why the choice felt so right: “I often found myself coming back to Vivienne’s designs-specifically how the silhouettes really compliment the curves in your body and her use of corsets.”
Demi, now 32, is in an incredible place, both mentally and physically. After years of battling substance abuse and eating disorders, she’s found peace-and a big part of that comes from her relationship with Lutes, who’s 34. A source told PEOPLE that Demi “truly loves Jordan. He’s amazing to her.” Another insider added that it’s amazing to see her thriving after “several years of struggle” and confirmed, “It’s wonderful that it’s all behind her.”
This love story actually started back in January 2022 when the two met in the studio while working on Demi’s eighth album, Holy Fvck. They clicked quickly, and by August that same year, they made their relationship public. People who knew them at the time said it was a “happy and healthy relationship” and that Jordan was “a super great guy.”
Fast forward to December 2023, and Jutes made it official. He proposed with a custom-made pear-shaped diamond solitaire ring from the luxury NYC jeweler Material Good-talk about a fairytale engagement. Demi was over the moon. Then, in September 2024, she spoke to PEOPLE and said, “You know, I’ve waited my whole life for him.” That alone says it all, but she went on to share even more about what makes their connection so solid. “It’s very grounding to have a partner that is so supportive, so loving, so caring,” she said. “It’s very easy to stay centered with him because I love him so much, and he treats me so amazing.”
Everything about their story screams love and growth. Demi’s found someone who doesn’t just support her-he uplifts her and helps her stay balanced. And for someone who’s had such a public and painful past, watching her come full circle into a place of stability and happiness is seriously heartwarming.
So yeah, Demi Lovato married Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, and it’s clear she’s found her person. From a custom gown to an epic oceanfront venue and a love story that started in the studio-it’s not just a wedding, it’s the beginning of a whole new era for her. And by the sound of it, this is the happiest and healthiest Demi we’ve ever seen.
