Dolly Parton Returns to Las Vegas for First Residency in Over 30 Years

Dolly Parton is officially making her way back to Las Vegas for a residency.

The country music legend has announced a six-date residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace starting this December. It’s been over 30 years since she last performed a full run of shows on the Strip, and fans are ready.

Titled Dolly: Live in Las Vegas, the limited engagement kicks off on December 4 and continues with performances on the 6th, 7th, 10th, 12th, and 13th. The residency conveniently lines up with the National Finals Rodeo, drawing country fans from around the country to the entertainment capital of the world.

“To say I’m excited would be an understatement,” Dolly said in a statement. “I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there.”

The announcement dropped on Monday, June 23, through both a press release and Dolly’s Instagram. She captioned the post with: “Grab your rhinestones, Vegas is calling! ⭐”

Fans can expect a hit-packed setlist featuring her biggest classics like 9 to 5, Jolene, I Will Always Love You, and Coat of Many Colors. The show promises to be a celebration of her legendary career with all the glitz you’d expect in Vegas.

It’s been a long time coming. Dolly’s last extended run in Las Vegas was in 1993 when she performed four shows at the now-closed Mirage Hotel. Before that, she had a string of shows at the Riviera Hotel in the early ‘80s.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, June 25 at 10 a.m. PT. But fans looking for the full VIP treatment have two options.

The Dolly Forever VIP Package includes access to a pre-show reception in Dolly’s Rhinestone Lounge, early merchandise access, and a themed gift set.

For the ultimate experience, the Star of the Show VIP tier includes everything in the basic package plus a professional photo op with Dolly herself and a behind-the-scenes stage tour of the Colosseum.

Dolly’s history with Vegas goes way back, and she’s always had fond memories of performing in the city. Speaking to The Tennessean in 2022, she said: “It’s a magical city, and I love how much the city celebrates entertainment.”

Her last appearance in Vegas was as host of the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards. At 79, Dolly continues to tour and release music, staying active even after the recent passing of her longtime husband Carl Dean.

This residency is more than a comeback, it’s a celebration of everything fans love about Dolly Parton, right in the heart of Las Vegas.
