Gwyneth Paltrow has finally addressed the swirling rumors about her so-called “feud” with Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex – and she’s not holding back.
The Goop mogul slammed speculation that she and Meghan are locked in a quiet lifestyle-brand war, calling the whole thing “clickbait trash” and making it very clear: there’s no feud, no rivalry – and definitely no bad blood.
Speaking on The World’s First Podcast With Erin + Sara Foster, Gwyneth praised Meghan as “very lovely” and said she supports everything the Duchess is doing with her brand As Ever. “I wish Meghan nothing but the best,” she said. “It’s so great what she’s doing. Every woman deserves to go into anything they want to do.”
But then she dropped the mic:
“You know what I won’t be at this point in my life? I won’t be a pawn in some drummed up, triangulation of women feud for your f****** clickbait,” Gwyneth said. “Leave us out of it. Don’t do that. I will not stand for that.”
The quote alone had social media buzzing – but the internet truly lost it when Gwyneth and Meghan decided to poke fun at the rumors together.
During an “Ask Me a Question” Instagram Story, Gwyneth fielded a fan-submitted query about the alleged feud: “Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?”
Her response? Iconic. “I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever,” Gwyneth said… before turning the camera to Meghan Markle herself, sitting at a table eating pie and shrugging like, “What feud?”
Cue the internet melting down.
The unexpected cameo came just weeks after Gwyneth doubled down in Vanity Fair, saying she was raised to see women as allies, not enemies. “There’s always more than enough to go around,” she said. “I don’t know Meghan and Harry – I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all.”
And then, in classic Gwyneth style, she added: “Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie.”
So, to recap:
- Gwyneth says she likes Meghan
- Meghan literally shows up on camera to laugh about it
- And yet, the internet still tries to make “Gwyneth Paltrow – Meghan Markle feud” happen.
If anything, this non-feud might be the friendliest fake drama ever – and the pie cameo just sealed the deal.
